You don’t need a new title to lead on quality

You know that quality matters, and you care about it deeply.
But if you’ve ever raised a concern and been ignored, or flagged a risk only to be brushed off … you also know how demoralising it is to be right and still not be heard.
I’ve been there. And I’ve heard the same story from countless testers and QA professionals:
“I find bugs before they go live, but people treat it like I’m just being difficult.”
“They ask for metrics, but no one changes anything when I give them the data.”
“I’m not part of the real decisions, I just get told what to test.”
That’s why I created Q.E.D. Mastery, a 6-week live training programme that teaches testers how to shift from being seen as gatekeepers and bug-hunters… to being trusted voices for quality, risk and value.
The problem isn’t your skills. It’s the framing.
Most testers I work with are more than competent. They know the systems, the test strategies, and the domain.
But they’re operating in environments where their input is only valued after the fact. After the requirements. After the code. After the decision’s already been made.
And when they do speak up early? They’re often met with resistance. Defensiveness. Or flat-out dismissal.
That’s not just about personality or politics. It’s structural.
Testers are rarely given the language, tools or confidence to connect technical risks to business outcomes.
So their insight, even when spot-on, doesn’t land.
That’s the gap Q.E.D. Mastery was designed to fill.
You don’t need a promotion. You need influence.
What testers actually need isn’t another automation framework.
It’s the ability to make quality visible and meaningful to the people who make the decisions.
This course is for testers who are ready to:
- Stop getting shut down when they raise issues
- Influence priorities before delivery goes wrong
- Lead quality conversations that result in real change
To do that, you need three things:
- A better way of framing problems
- Evidence that matters to your audience
- Experiments that build trust
That’s the Q.E.D. method.
What we cover in Q.E.D. Mastery
Over six live, interactive sessions, we work through the three pillars of strategic quality influence:
1. Question – Define problems worth solving
We start by identifying the right problem. Not just “this isn’t working,” but:
- What’s the impact?
- Who’s affected?
- Why does this matter now?
You’ll learn how to run stakeholder interviews that uncover hidden pain points, and how to reframe quality concerns as business-relevant risks.
2. Evidence – Design metrics that matter
Next, we make the invisible visible.
You’ll learn how to:
- Design lightweight custom metrics
- Use the data you already have (CI logs, Git stats, bug trackers)
- Visualise results in ways that help stakeholders act
No heavy dashboards. Just targeted insights that shift conversations.
3. Develop – Run small, fast experiments
Finally, we get practical. You’ll design a tiny test of change, something you can try within 1–2 weeks, with minimal disruption.
You’ll practise using data to make clear decisions:
Scale, pivot, or stop.
This is how you build credibility, not by getting louder, but by delivering results that speak for themselves.
Why now?
The testing world is changing.
Teams are moving faster. Roles are shifting.
AI, DevOps, continuous delivery, all of it demands that testers become more than the “quality safety net”.
If you want to be seen as someone who protects value and influences outcomes, not just someone who finds bugs, you need more than technical expertise.
You need a new approach.
That’s what Q.E.D. Mastery offers.
Enrolment is now open
The next Q.E.D. Mastery cohort runs from 17 July to 21 August 2025, with weekly live sessions on Wednesdays at 10:30 am BST.
The course is delivered live, online, and all sessions are recorded with 12 months of access.
You can join in one of three ways, depending on the level of support you need:
- Core Course
For independent learners ready to apply the framework in their own context. - Course + Mini Workshop
Includes the “Quality Influence Blueprint” for testers who need help getting stakeholder buy-in. - Complete Support
